Pioneer DV 575 or Toshiba SD 530 (Which should i go for?)
I need a new DVD player but don`t want to spend daft money, i`m torn between the Pioneer DV 575 and Toshiba SD 530, both look good and are the same price but the Pioneer plays VCD`s, any comments would be appreciated! :/

I`m very wary of RS after the last time I went in. They kept trying to sell me Cambridge Audio products, which they have an interest in. Personally I`d go for the Pioneer over the Tosh as it has more features and I can vouch for it being the dog`s.

I would have the Pioneer, it walks it. Hi-Fi World (a little more high brow than What or HCC) say Quote:
Frankley I am astounded by the pioneer, concidering it`s lowley retail price. Not only can it play just about every current format worth menioning, but is all so possessed of a level of performance that should have the compertition nervous! And Quote:
As far as universal players are concerened, there are currently no competitors at this price point. So I invite you to shelve your preconcived notions on cheap players and ignor it`s budget price- The pioneer DV575A is a little music making marvel.
The problem with it is pioneer are quoting a lead time of mid feb for new orders. I would sugest that is why Richers are pushing the Tosh (good player). They have it in and have no Pioneers.
All the best,
The 42%er.
It`s not easy being different. It`s not easy being cool....but somehow I manage....
