Scan SC2000 Sound Problems

ValeFanMart (Harmless) posted this on Wednesday, 23rd May 2001, 16:02

I`ve had a SC2000 for some time now and have been fairly happy with it but I`m becoming very irritated by the sound quality. I have to turn my TV up to almost full volume to get a decent level and I feel I`m losing quality because of this. It`s the same for both Region 1 and 2 (because I have heard this can be effect on region 1 DVD`s only - which is not the case). I have the AV (yellow) cable only being used in the back of my TV set. I also, obviously, use scart.

Any ideas?

Or would a more detailed set-up of my system be more useful (I use video, satellite and DVD)?

Any help would be highly appreciated!

There should have been a sheet of paper in the box detailing how to solve this issue. To change the mode to RF mode then do the following

SETUP
STOP
STEP
ANGLE

RF mode should then be displayed. Alternatively upgrade to the latest firmware and you get to choose this in the menu settings. I am unsure if this menu option is present in previous firmware versions but that remote hack will work.
