Sky F**K Up

Ordered my Skt+ with multiroom on line. Paid by switch. Installation booked for AM on Wed 13/07. I received my new extra card, a receipt for the payement and the usuall welcome to Sky crap. Took a day off work, and patiantly waited. 11:00 cane and no sign of sky bloke. Phoned Sky and they informed me I`d cancelled my instalation, i replied i`d had no contact with sky and had received all the info about my installation. They couldn`t tell me why my installtion was cancelled, only that I could have a refund and then re-order. I accepted the refund and told them where to shove their Sky+. Thats my rant over, anyone else experienced some Sky incompetence like that

I have first hand experience of a certain massive telecoms comapny that does it too. I thnik its prevalent in most major companies.. just a shame it happened to you. Glad you told them where to shove it! :)

Hi Taff,

Well I`m really sorry you had a day of waiting in. I`ve just had the same waiting for service on my LITEON 5005 - from the couriers who are apparently DHL.

I am pretty suprised with SKY tho, as I have had nothing but really excellent service from them, which is lucky as I live in rural Wales and have no alternative supplier. I`m broke (as always) and only turn my digibox on for about 6 months of the year and DVD movies like crazy in that period for watching when I`m bored. They just gave me 3 months for the price of 6 weeks so I`m pretty impressed with them at the moment.

Did you contact their customer services and ask them to tell you who contacted them - I ask this because with SKY you are able to give and use a password. In fact so far I have never been able to do anything with SKY without giving it, so this might be a way to find out what happened, and when.

Good luck with whoever else you chose - I am lost without my recorder and am going to give DHL a serious tongue lashing tomorrow.

Hilary
