Recordable DVD Editing

CHELIS (Harmless) posted this on Thursday, 14th July 2005, 07:23

I would like to buy a DVD recorder but I`ve heard that when you string different recordings together then there is a slight pause between each recording. Are all recorders like this? I`m really looking to buy a combi HDD/DVD machine but I will look elsewhere to avoid this problem if I have to.

Well I use a Panasonic and edit with RAM discs and you cant see the join,if buying today I would buy a Panasonic or Pioneer machine with at least 80 gb Hard drive fitted, that should give you what you want, jointless edits. :)

Thanks for replying. I already have a Pioneer player and I hate it. It has an on screen display which can`t be turned off. For example when I use slow motion, there is a blue banner at the top of the screen telling me I`m using slow motion.

Does the Panasonic have anything annoying? Are there any other recorders I should be looking at for seamless editing?

Go for the Panny, best on the market.

Here we go again, groan.
