Help, Im trying to get a cheap Multiregion dvd player for a birthday present.. I am looking at the following ones and don`t know which one to choose.
It needs to be easy to Multiregion hack and be good picture quality
Alba DVD103 - £129
Samsung 511 £??
Matsui DVD122 £128
Proline DVD2000 £128
Bush DVD2009 £119
Please help i need to choose before Friday !!!
Easy - Samsung is the one to go for. It`s the only one of those you mention that I know is good quality, whereas brands like Matsui, Bush, Alba and Proline tend to set off my crapness alarm whenever I come across them.

If i was to get the Samsung where is the cheapest main high street shop that sells it ?. Couldn`t see it in Comet or Dixons today
Or you could consider the Cyberhome 512 from richer sounds for £120.
You will need access to a CD Writer to apply the multiregion and macrovison hack - its a doddle.
I remember it getting a pretty good write up in a Hifi/DVD mag a few months back. Dont know what the DVD purists on this site think of it though...
Richer do a pretty good 3 yr warranty for £20 - if you are interested in that sort of thing - money back if no claims made.
