Cheap TV tuner??? for portable DVD player
Colud i some how get a cheap TV tuner which could be used to turn a portable DVD player into a portable TV.?
RE: Cheap TV tuner??? for portable DVD player
I`m thinking about doing this too. My method would be to get an ordinary VHS video recorder. It would at least be a telly at home, not very portable but better than a full size TV.
Technology is great - if mankind survives.
RE: Cheap TV tuner??? for portable DVD player
I`d thought about this as I have a 19" lcd computer monitor supplied as part of my works computer system. Found lots of them in fact but none are particularly cheap, plan to spend about £50-£70 but you do get a remote control.
here are some - hunt around tho as e-bay may have something cheaper.
TV Station 100
Acer RX 120
but what I did was simpler, easier, and way cheaper (though it is a `home only` solution and isn`t a tuner per-se). It does have a lot of benefits tho as you can watch telly / dvd / listen to cd`s (in fact anything you`re playing) anywhere within about 50 yards (have even loaned this to my neighbour across the road to watch ordinary Channel 4 telly which we don`t get here, so he can watch the cricket.. it takes all sorts.. hehe)
You can also move this around dead easy, change your SKY channel with it, move it from room to room in seconds, use it on your computer, in fact it does everything except bring you a cuppa tea in bed. Don`t be fooled by the price, this thing really does work and is as easy as pie to set up.
I`ve wanted somewhere to rave about this for ages - this is what it`s called for the search at the site, the delivery is free and very fast and I cant recommend it highly enough
Audio-/Videosender 2.4GHz MD9032
Wireless transmission of audio and video signals
You won`t believe what you get for your £20 - seriously. And it`s good kit too.
here`s the site
