Page 1 of Ipod - USB 1??

Does anybody know if an Ipod is compatible with USB 1, I know the spec says USB 2, but wondered if USB 1 would be ok but suffer from slower transfer speeds.

It works fine with USB 1, but as you rightly said the transfer speed is slower :(
