Page 1 of LG DR7400 ? ?

Does anyone have experience with one of these? I`ve struggled with a Philips DVDR610 for 8 months, & it finaly packed up 3 weeks ago. Comet are offering this as a replacement - they initially offered be another 610, but I said no thanks ! !

From the spec shet, it doesn`t look too bad. I`ve looked at the menu system in the store, & it looks a bit clunky, but if it works OK, that`s all I want - especially after the hassle with the 610 ! ! ! !

Just an update - I got the LGDR7400 (& 1 £30 rebate from Comet ! !). The good news is that it semas to work 100% perfect. I will admit that the interface is more than a bit clunky, & it`s not the fastest at moving around the menus, BUT IT WORKS ! ! ! ! ! !

I am thinking about buying the LGDR7400 dvd recorder from comet also. Have you found a multi region hack for this player. Can`t seem to find one on this site for this player.

I must admit that I haven`t looked for a multi-region hack. I was so frustrated with the Philips DVDR610 that it replaced that I was just peased to get a box that works ! ! ! !

Have found a hack for lg players.
1. Make sure there is no disc in the player when you turn it on
2. Press `PAUSE` on the remote
3. Press 3, 1, 4, 1, 5, 9 on the remote and the word CODE will appear
4. Press the key for the region you require - 1 for region1, 2 for region 2, 0 for all
5. Press `PAUSE` again
6. Turn the player on and off

i have just got the lgdr7400.i so your requst for the region hack and i tryed the remote hack what was posted by stuart but i can not get this to work you said i think? that it works 100% could you please tell me our you have done this has i cant get it to work?

Can you please confirm the code is correct or do you need to be in a certain menu as this does not appear to work on my machine.

I have just bought this DVD recorder and used this region hack successfully!

1) Insert Any other Region DVD Film (not Region 2)

2) Wait until Player Rejects/Ejects the Disc

3) Press `0` seven times

4) Press the key for the region you require 0-6
1 for region 1
2 for region 2
0 for all/multiregion

5. Press `PAUSE` to save settings

I have also just bought the DVD Recorder, which is spot on.

The region hack as posted by Damian works, however you don`t need to do steps one or two. All you need to do is,

1. Power on the DVD
2. Press the Eject button to open the tray, and with the tray open
3. Then Press "0" on the remote Seven times and the current region setting is then displayed on the screen.
4. Set the region you want, 0 = Multi, on the remote.
5. Press "Pause" on the remote to save the settings.

Works a treat. :)

Just a quick question for you. Have you had any problems playing "back-up" films on it?
