Yes I know they are cheap (£23.00) but there is no SVCD/VCD support and they don`t output through the onboard digital coax to an AV amp??? Alreet for the joe schmos amongst you I guess! :-)_PK

Hi, I bought one of these, and it seems alright to play dvds. I also like the small size.
And the price: 22.47.

Anyone know how to make it multiregion?

For the price of these, they are fine for a `bedroom` player, or for the kids` rooms (if you let your kids have such things in their rooms.

"AVOID" is going a bit far, what did you expect for just over £20?

Let me take that back...

Having got one of these for the bedroom TV, I realised that there is something missing from it. There is no way of switching it off (or to standby) from the remote. Having lain in bed watching a film, I then had to send my wife :D out of bed to switch it off.
It`s also got quite a noisy drive, which really reverberates through the chest of drawers it stands on.

This is going back to Tesco next week, and I shall be spending an extra few pounds on a better machine.
