It`s an old topic.

But since i owe dvd-r122 i can`t find any firmware upgrade / update.

Player works horribly inconvinient, and I found later on that much cheaper players does much better job. Its got problems to play its own recordings, many divx movies are not supported, many divx movies is missing audio, some divx files play not every frame.

Subtitles have to have the same filename as divx file - 1)this limits number of subtitles you can burn along movie, 2)just 2 types of subtitles are good enough [acurate]. And if u miss the filename there is no way u can play it - need to burn DVD again.

DVD freezes very often and the only solution then is to go behind all apliances to unplug it for a moment - then you`ll find out that time and date have zeroed.

It support just GREEK, CENTRAL, AND WEST languages for subtitles, it does mean not every european.

And after all lack of SAMSUNG support is just lack of professionalism. The only thing u can find on SAMSUNG website is manual. Which i`ve already payed for.

I would almost forgot - it takes up to 10 sec to eject disc...

Maybe it is generalisation but buying Samsung think twice.

Technology moves on fast - so maybe its time for a new DVD player mate. I own the HD850 Samsung Upscaler - plays all that I`ve thrown at it. Never had a problem with Samsung stuff.

EDIT: - Just googled the R122 - didn`t realise it was a recorder also which is now discontinued
