Tevion DVD Recorders

se7en45 (Competent) posted this on Monday, 19th September 2005, 17:31

Can anyone on these forums recommend or have any knowledge on the TEVION 160-gig HardDrive DVD Recorder?

It`s listed at just over £200.00 whilst another TEVION DVD Recorder is priced at £110.00.

And, can these players playback Divx files?

Please help...

Hi,

I used to have the recorder (110 pounds) without hard disk. It doesnt play Divx. Mine stopped working after 4 months, hence I returned it. Excellent returns policy, I must say. was a pretty fine machine for its price, but its remote had to be exactly in line, or else it wouldnt work.

The 230 pound machine with hard disk seems to have excellent features and it plays DivX too. However, I have read on other forums that the editing features on it are non existent, hence I didnt buy it,

Thanx for the reply! ;)

I also noticed that my Tevion Divx player (£32.99) requires the remote control to be in-line for it to function. In the old days I could bounce the control beam off the walls to operate my laser-disc player... :D
