ADVICE=RE=LCD TV`S

as it says above, i`m hoping to get a 27" or bigger lcd tv, for use both as a tv & monitor (mainly for pc use) i`ll have about £500 but could "maybe" go to £650 currently looking at this one http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=3801&productId=154972&Trail=C%24cip%3D28956.Sound%2Band%2Bvision%3EC%24cip%3D29029.Televisions%3EC%24Brand%3DWharfedale.Wharfedale&categoryId=29029&clickfrom=image
BUT the BIG problem with it is that it doesn`t meet my minimum resolution needs (i really need a minimum res of 1280/1024) can it be done within the budget ?

the budget is not particularly flexible as it depends on me getting around £500 for my laptop & scounging the rest, or would i be better using the cash to pay for my xbox 360 + a psp ? ;)

i really wanna BIG monitor tho :x

Use it for the Xbox n the PSP.

Cheaper ended LCD panels as TVs are generally poor, but for a tad higher you could get the resolution you`re after, `cause it`d be on a HD capable model.

Personally...I`d sell the wife n get a DLP set and use that for the monitor....or a DLP front projector (oo..there`s an idea! lol) but then, that`s cause I`m biased to DLP :D

Oo, and `ello you btw...even though ya aint sed owt in me thread over in General ;)

The new Samsung 32" is HD ready and would meet your spec. Slightly more expensive at £850. Getting good reviews over at AV Forums.

I got the 46" Samsung DLP but the wife said it is too big >:(

Now going for the LCD Samsung

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo....after a 46" DLP changing it to an LCD would be comparable to running around in a BMW then trading it in for a Robin Reliant!

Well, ok, not so severe as that, but ya get my point! And 46" is fast becoming the "normal" screen size these days.....currently holding around 37 to 42 but heading easily into the 50 and 60 inch screens.
(so tell her you need to keep it as a fashion icon or summat! Lol)
