bux46 :)

You could always try using the headphone socket and connect an audio lead between the player and your PC. I did that a few times with old audio tapes and it worked reasonably well.

I find that most surprising.
How else can you connect a tape deck to an amplifier if not using line out connections?
What tape playing device did you use?

Hi Nice one
What i loaned was a tape player ie cassette type thing not a tape DECK ....
but not being up to par with electrical stuff i didnt realise you could use the headphone socket of a player either as a line out as suggested by the other guy

Bux46,

It`s not clear what type of tape you mean. Do you mean VHS video tapes or Audio Cassette tapes.

If VHS, then you can get a lead with a scart plug on one end and phono plugs on the other from many high-street shops. Two of the phonos will carry the audio.
