Page 1 of pioneer dv-636d region 1 picture help

i have a pioneer dv-636d with a paragon upgrade
the problem is when i record to vhs region 2 is ok but region 1 is jumpy and a little speckly
does any one know if it could be my tv or video causing this
any help would be much appreciated thank in advance

check that your dvd player converts ntsc to pal 50 if it doesent you will not be able to backup r1s because european videos can playback an ntsc signal but they can not record one this would explain the black and white and jerky picture check your setup menu on your dvd fot pal ntsc output but im pretty sure it only converts to pal 60 which will be the cause of your problems.
