Cable problems

aunt flo (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Saturday, 18th August 2001, 02:32

Looks like i had one deleted maybe?
I will try again.
I have bought the Sony DAVS300 system and it was shipped with an S vid to scart lead (by the shop) which produces the worst picture I have ever seen! the composite is ok and it would prove to me the disks are ok. I have a Mitsubishi tv which is a few yrs old but has never let me down yet. There is noise interferance and it is unwatchable. Can anyone suggest a solution? I may try to get a standard s-vid to s-vid connector to try that out as will be better than the composite as a matter of course i suppose.
Hope u all will help as u have done in previous questions.
Cheers
Aunt Flo

As I understand it S-Vid to SCART are one way (i.e. they are either S-Vid to SCART or SCART to S-Vid). Sounds like you may have the wrong one. Alternatively, is the SCART (presumably on your telly) S-Vid enabled?
