Page 1 of Matsui DVD 100

I have a Matsui DVD 100 machine i bought last year to transfer my videos to DVD. I used it three times then packed it away in the box. I got it out this week thinking I could do the rest of the videos over Christmas (nithing on the telly).

The problem is each time I put a DVD+RW disk in it does not recognise the disk, after taking it out and re-inserting it a few times the drive says format, which I think means its formatting the disk. Problem is that fours hours later it is still saying format!!!

I tried to eject the disk and it wouldn`t let me. I unplugged the unit left it overnight then plugged it in again. Now it has just gone into standby and won`t let me eject the disk.

Any ideas on how to get around this??
