Best & Cheapest DVD Player with Divx capability?

scottyw (Harmless) posted this on Sunday, 15th January 2006, 00:10

Hi
I`m looking for any info on the cheapest dvd player which plays back .avi files/divx.
Ideally it would have a small footprint too as it`s for a spare room.
Any suggestions much appreciated,

Cheers
Scott.

Just brought the Tecnika DVDR2005 (badged Yamada 8400) from Tesco`s. It said £79.99 on the price label, but at the till it came up £68.48. Told a mate at work he went and brought one the next day same price. My last two dvd/divx players have been Yamada and they play everything I have thrown at them, so treat yourself and go for a recorder as well.
