it may of been mentioned, but my boss asked me to put in the rowa all region hack, for him today on his new ROWA 280 and it works.
i tested a region 1 disc and a region 1 RCE protection disc as well as some of my own burnt VCD format discs, on various forms of media make- intenso, mirror, verbatium, memorex to name but a few....
But here is where im baffled, why the hell does ROWA not stick a MP3 sticker on the front of its player, i dont even see a mention of it in the manual, im sure this would increase sales even more. Well i tried an mp3 cd today with all mp3 files in the root of the cd, i dont know if it works within a directory, but this one big plus to my boss.
Hi I read your comments can you tell me was this a remote hack ? I have been following the discussion about the Rowa 280.In the hack forum that there are two different versions of this player.A Pioneer clone with a service port on the back. The other type I believe can be hacked from the remote.Which is yours?
While tracking info about this player I put a search on a well known search engine it gave me a thread to a correspondence between the supplier in China and someone in the UK.They said they could supply minimum order 40 and asked if they would want multi-region,macro disabled & MP3 enabled.
Does the Pioneer clone have MP3 capability(my machine) can I get it upgraded via the service port at the same time as having the multi region upgrade.
Cheers Presa
Im trying to backup my vcd`s without success because of the macro do you know how to disable it or where I need to go on the web for the info
