Page 1 of LG-3000 e PROBLEMS

Hi all

Me and the gf bought an LG3000e for her parents for xmas-bought it cos i got it cheap with a loyalty card thingy 20% off etc.

Well the bastard plays fine untill layer change and then starts having a fit of mammoth proportions -the usual -sticking,stammering,blocking etc.

What i want to know is -is this a known prob with this particular player-will a firmware upgrade sort it etc?

Hey Xeno,

I have the LG 3000E and haven`t had any of the problems. Normally on a layer change I get a brief (half a sec max) jutter in picture. I was playing a mate`s copy of "Requiem For A Dream" and it completely froze, I turned the player off and back on again, cleaned the disc and the same scene was then fine.

If it`s a specific disc have a look to see if there`s a known problem. IT Troll`s site www.lgdvd.co.uk is excellent! Shame he`s stopped updating it though!
