Does the tv have any digital processing (100Hz technology) etc as older versions of digital processing can cause blocky artifacts to become more apparent

any 21 year old tv is unlikely to do anything well. Least of all interact with a 5 year old technology.

I think he meant "two and a half"! Makes you wish keyboards had a fraction key.

To behonest mate, I think these blocky pixels are unavoidable on most DVDs.

I myself know exactly what your talking about. In darker scenes (although not always) backgrounds, or large arease of colour look blockly in movement. I`ve noticed this on almost all my films, except things like Toy story or Shrek, which are perfect of course.

And I doubt its got anything to do with your player, or Tele. I have a Sony S735. playing on brand new Sony TV, and I`m still getting a those blocks.

Although I think its alittle off, that the blocks were not nearly as obvious on my old LG3200e and older tele.

money can not buy perfection
