Optical cable splitter?

sparkster (Elite) posted this on Wednesday, 12th December 2001, 15:58

My amp only has one input for an optical cable but I need to connect both my DVD & PS2 (not to mention an XBox and Game Cube if they have optical support next year) to it.

Does a optical splitter/hub device exist to I can connect more than one device to amp without yanking cables out of ports.

Try Mail order company `CPC` Tel number 08701 20 25 30
They have an adaptor that splits one source into two outputs or two inputs into one source (as long as only one of the devices is powered up at once). The part number is AV03526 and cost £6.22 + vat + del.

You could also try www.keene.co.uk . They might sell a optical switch box capable of connecting more than 2 devices. I think I saw one somewhere that could be controlled by remote.
