Just bought an LG RH299H DVD + HDD system. It`s fantastic, and I thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a new system. It`s got a massive 400Gb HDD - allowing over 100 hours in max quality, or over 1100 hours in low quality!! Plus, it reads absolutely any CD or DVD format available (+R, -R, +RW, +RAM, etc). It also has an HDMI connection, which plugs into an HD TV and upscales the image to 1080 quality (although this doesn`t convert SD DVDs to HD quality - this is impossible to do - the picture still looks great).

I haven`t figured out an All Region Unlock yet, but will hopefully find one soon. If anyone should have on already, please post it!!

Agree a great machine and so far have no complaints 8)

For region unlock the following worked for me ;)

turn power on
open dvd tray
press home on remote
select setup
scroll down to padlock
enter 0000000
confirm "Yes"
will get a congrats message saying all done

else just google lg recorder unlock and look for any rh model

What format does the RH299H record in? I can`t seem to find this info anywhere.
