home cinema speakers???

Stuart246 (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Thursday, 20th December 2001, 00:30

i was thinking of buying the `Eltax Liberty` speaker package (5+ front speakers, ht2 bipolar rears and liberty centre) for £249 from richer sounds. does anyone else have these speakers if so are they any good?

also what amp/receiver does anyone recommend i get(around £200), looked at sherwood rd7106 which seems a good buy.

any help/advice would be much appreciated.

thanks Stuart

I think you can get the Yamaha 420 for £215 or so from Richer - I think that would be a better bet as far as amp is concerned.

I agree with the amp choice above, yamaha = a better choice than the sherwood.

For speakers have you considered the latest Mission M series of speakers?. A nice set of speakers and look to be around your budget.
