AIWA 370 & SVCDs ?

richp (Harmless) posted this on Sunday, 23rd December 2001, 09:37

Has anyone managed to get SVCDs burnt with Nero to work on the AIWA 370?
Would like to burn DV camcorder footage to SVCD but looks like I need a new player. Can you recomend a budget player that will.

Thanks.

I`ve managed to burn VCD`s using Nero to both CD-R`s, and CD-RW`s on the AIWA 370 - the main thing you might need is the Video CD add-in for Nero, alternatively EasyCD 5 Platinum has the same capability.

The mpg file you want to transfer to VCD MUST be standard VCD format, otherwise playback will be choppy, and might lose sound.

I think your missing the point - SVCD is Super Video CD and not just straight forward VCD. Unfortunately, this is definately no-go with the 370 (tried it too).
