Page 1 of Bush dvd2055hdmib hdmi connection not working

Hi folks,
I recently got the above mentioned dvd player to go with my Acoustic Solutions LCD32805HD and I`ve got a Wharfedale HDMI To HDMI Cable. I`ve selected the HDMI connection option in the DVD player however when I try to view the HDMI channel in the channel selection menu it says "HDMI not avaliable"

Anyone got any clue as to how I can get it working

I`m no expert.. but I heard recently that you need a HDMI cable that is of a more recent version number.. ie, an older version cable will not be compatible with your player output. I know this as a colleague went to buy a cable for his player.. and the shop fobbed him off with an older version one.. Do a google and see if you can find more info about this..

:) Hi as the bush user guide has no wiring connections to view has anyone got the correct set up, and the correct hdmi cable to use I used the philps hdmi coaxial cable and have the same problem as guy above.

I was thinking of getting this player BUT before I do can anyone confirm if this machine can playback Divx, Mpeg & Mp3 files?
