ONKYO TX-SR875 RECEIVER - SERIAL NUMBER QUERY

dmpr (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Thursday, 10th January 2008, 16:22

I am in the process of buying an Onkyo TX-SR875 Receiver. Have recently come across an article which stated it is important to select this particular model which has the prefix "p" before the serial number. Don`t understand why this is important, but know there is someone (many???) who probably can answer this question. Thanks. Dave

It has the latests software that has ironed out some minor bugs.

No probs. If anyone does have the old software and they are worried. Contact Onkyo UK (only if it is a UK unit) and the will arrange for the software to be upgraded.
