Hacking Problem with AIWA XD-DW1 HC

Having found the info I needed to Change my dvd to multi-region of I went. Having faithfully followed steps 1-5 as shown I still cant show region 2 dvd`s on my machine. Have I missed something? Have I done something wrong? Or did I not do something right. Anybody out there can point me in the right direction.
