Aiwa Ht-DV90 / Sanyo AVD8501 Home Cinema Sound Systems
Does anyone out their use either of these systems, if so I would appreciate your views on them.
If I also may ask which home cinemas sound systems would someone recommend for the £400 - £500 (UK Pounds) level.
I would like the system to be able to read CDR/RW`s and play MP3 files.
Thanks
RE: Aiwa Ht-DV90 / Sanyo AVD8501 Home Cinema Sound Systems
just got the sanyo player 8501 ipaid 299 for it at powerhouse. its the same price at currys to.
it a good all round player i have had 11 dvd players in the space of 2 years this has been the best 1 so far, the others were mostly cheap 1s though apart from a toshiba which my dad still uses.
the mp3 seamed a bit off though. i`ve tried a cdr and a cdrw, with tracks recorded at 56kbs, it sounds abit funny like there a beat missing or something, it myte just be the discs ive used or the mp3 compression.its the first time ive recorded any mp3 before hope this helps you.
simon
it was the compresion the player needs 128kbs or better.

I have just recently got the Aiwa XR-DV700, £347 from QED £50 cheaper than curries etc, and i am very impressed with it!!....the sound quality is absolutely spot on and it looks even better!
RE: Aiwa Ht-DV90 / Sanyo AVD8501 Home Cinema Sound Systems
....but can they be hacked for multiregion? I would make sure that what ever you get can be, as you`ll miss out on a lot of good prices otherwise (and earlier release dates!)
Sorry if I`m teaching granny to suck eggs!
RE: Aiwa Ht-DV90 / Sanyo AVD8501 Home Cinema Sound Systems
Hi
I recently purchase the Sanyo AVD8501 from Powerhouse as well for £299.
REALLY please with it.
I got mine chipped from Steve at http://www.dvdchips.co.uk/
which is based in Halifax. I tried to get it chipped here in
Edinburgh but the shop did not have the specfic CD required
and Steve was the only person I found that had.
Does anyone know how I can use the surround sound system, so I can listien to the TV and video through it rather than just DVD`s???
