Help --This macrovision is confusing me !!

samacor (Harmless) posted this on Saturday, 4th November 2000, 01:22

I got a Lecson 900 and the player is absolutely fine..... however I have only tried once to record a disc onto my VCR and on playback the picture shifted from slightly darker to slightly lighter, then slightly darker and so on. There was no jittering or anything else happeining to the picture or sound and I wondered if this was the macrovision effect or not.

I have read elsewhere of others suffering even greater effects when attempting to record onto vcr. I haven`t had chance to try another disc yet...though probably will tomorrow.

Advice is always...greatly appreciated

Yep - thats macrovision

Also remember that if your trying to record a Rgeion 1 DVD then it`s in a different video format called NTSC which most UK VCR`s can`t record.

Your only way around it is to either find a hack for for player which disables macrovision or buy an external box which does it for you.

P.s. Obviously your only copying un-copyrighted video just like me ;) !!!
