Page 1 of dansai 852 audio output problem

my dansai will only output audio through one channel when a scart lead is connected to my television, the audio is going via the phono output to an hifi amplifier, take out the scart and you get stereo.
What am I doing wrong? any ideas?

Sorry I can`t help you, but I also have a problem with the audio output from my dansai.

My dansai is connected via phono plugs to my cambridge amp, also by scart to my TV. I have also connected my video via phono plugs to the amp and via scart to the TV.

When the TV is switched on / or left in standby the sound quality from DVD, CD, CD-R is excellent. However if I listen to music via the DVD and amp only with the TV switched off the sound is muffled and poor. I have a pair of book case size speakers placed about 12 inches either side of the TV.

Can anybody help or explain.
