Page 1 of Help Needed with Samsung L40A656 and Wii

Im trying to connet my Wii via my Samsung L40A656 with a component cable but i keep getting the message mode not supported on the TV screen!?! Which is odd as the component cable worked fine on my old Samsung LCD.

Has anyone had the same problem? Cant seem to find much on the net.

There is a setting on the Wii that needs to be changed, I think it is 576P. It only becomes available when the component lead is in if I remember rightly.

We had a similar problem think we had to connect via composite, change to the lowest setting, then connect via component and change to the highest setting.

Yeah i though the same, but fell at the first hurdle when i realised you can only plug one thing at a time. So i cant get the WII to change to to HDTV setting, unless i try getting in to position with the composite, then switching over cables and then pressing the button to change.

Well its worth a try.
