Page 1 of ACOUSTIC SOLUTIONS. 521 Any good, what can it do??? Advice please.

Thinking of buying an Accoustic Solutions 521 for £80 from richer sounds but first need a good bit of advice.
Wondered if its relatively quiet and reliable and especially is the picture good/indifferent, or great.
I think they can be set to Multi or fixed regions 1-6, is that right and are they RCE OK and can you disable the old macro what-not.
Really only want a machine with RGB out of scart for obvious reasons, do they do that OK.
would really appreciate a good run down and advice.

PS do they have a normal tray coming out with flap on front, or tray crash out and over flap job like the Dansai`s. Thanks.

Its a excellent machine for the money it will do everything you want it to do it will play all regions RCE VCDs SVCDs mp3 CDRs CDRWs only thing it lacks is macrovison removal but you can buy the special leads to disable that if you want to but a good buy if you are on a budget and it does have RGB

Anyone else had experiance of these?

I`ve got the 551 and yes it does and it`s very annoying. It doesn`t seem to help if you put it in standby mode.

Mine is plugged into the RGB Scart of a Hitachi 32WD2TN (I think) if that makes a difference. When you turn the DVD on the TV switches to AV, but seems to pick up the composite rather than RGB. I have to hit the AV button to get RGB. Not a major issue for me.

We`ve got a Dansai with TV signal hassle problems and it sounds as if this is the same, wonder if its from the same stable.
Thanks for advice, last thing we need is to buy another machine that still does it.
The Dansai does it to the downstairs Tv when just switched on upstairs not plugged into anything, not even scart in.
Maybe have to get a branded machine.
