toshiba sd210-e noisey drive + eltax ht-2 or mission 77ds rear speakers?????

i was considering buying the toshiba sd-210e dvd player.i can get it from richer sounds for £199 multiregion, but have been told it`s not that good aswell as the drive being noisey. i am new to the dvd scene and was not sure which dvd players are worth buying.can i get some help please.

Not that good !
Whoever said that deserves to be shot !
It`s been given rave reviews since it`s launch.
Some people report ` noisy ` drives but that`s only when compared with other machines. Taken in isolation you wouldn`t notice. Still a lot quieter than what your used to with Video etc.
Go get one.

cheers i was wondering if you could tell me which speakers would go better with this player, the guy in the shop was trying to get me to buy, either the mission bipolar rears or the ht-2 eltax bipolar rears i have the sherwood 6106 dolby digital amp. and a mission centre the 70c1 i think.

The usual recommendation is to stick with speakers from the same range, as these will be tonally matched. However, at the end of the day you`ve got to live with them, so listen to both if possible, before deciding.
