What is the Cheapest DVD player on the Market?

Natasha (Mostly Harmless) posted this on Saturday, 9th February 2002, 18:58

I have lost touch recently with the latest technology and I am interested to know what is the cheapest dvd player (multi-region/hackable) on the market at the moment.

Many Thanks.

Pacific 750 at £89-97 with free 3 year warranty from Asda.
Pacific 1000 might also be there at same price.
Richer Sounds have one at £80 Accoustic Solutions extended warranty extra.

I saw the Richer Sounds one (Accoustic Solutions) but then saw a good deal on the Sony DVPN300 - Multi-Region (I assume they have chipped it? or is that a mistake) for £169.95.

Cheers.
