Does anyone know if a rugby match recorded to vhs can be sent to America & played on there system format? Or of a way it can be done.
Regards.

Unless the person you`re sending it to has a PAL compatible VCR and TV (very unlikely), you`ll need to get it converted to NTSC.

If it`s just a one-off, the cheapest way is probably to get it done professionally. There are plenty of firms offering standards conversion services; they advertise in mags like What Video & TV.

If you intend to do this on a regular basis, however, you should look into getting a "standards converting VCR" which can record in any TV standard (PAL, NTSC or SECAM) and convert from one to the other.

You can also buy standalone digital converters from places like Lektropacks (http://www.lektropacks.co.uk) - prices start from about £200 (plus you`d need to spend another £100 or so on a NTSC recording VCR).
