Page 1 of Hitachi DVP-505 Multiregion at Letsbuyit.com Any good ???

Letsbuyit have a Hitachi DVP-505 for sale. They say its multi region but I was under the impression that it wasnt. Does this mean it has been upgraded (chipped/modded whatever u call it, im new to all this) ?

Also, will this player, if indeed it is multi region play ALL region 1 discs without fault ? If not, why not, and what discs could be problematic ?
I take it it will play all region 2 discs without question ?

That price is crap, as it doesnt even mention macrovision disable!

You can get a multiregion 505 with macro disabled for 299 from www.multiregionmagic.co.uk or if macrovision disable isnt really needed, you can by 1 on 12 months interest free from dixons for 270 and download the multiregion software from my website.

The only problem I have had with my 505 is the trailer on the R1 version of Lifeforce didnt work, but this is trivial as T2UE, Stargate SE, Donnie Brasco SE, Sleepy Hollow, The Limey all worked great.

Lets Buy it are known for selling european models not UK specific.
