Noisy deck on the 510 Toshiba

Just purchased a new 510 and the deck seems noisy compared to my other dvd a sony 400. I have looked at other peoples remarks on the cheaper 210 also about a noisy deck. Seems odd that this new machine has the same problem when the Sony is noise free compared to this Toshiba. Does anybody have a 510 and has the same noise.
