Wharfedale 750S plays mp3?
Hi, does anyone know for sure if CD`s burnt with mp3 files will play on the latest 750S? Read somewhere that it was rumoured but can`t so far confirm.
Thanks for the help.
RE: Wharfedale 750S plays mp3?
Yes it will.
Ihave a new 750S bought last week.
Note there is no menu selection for tracks which makes track selection difficult, but does handle files in directory structures.
RE: Wharfedale 750S plays mp3?
It handles CD-RW disks OK too, which is handy.
The files are played in STRICT alphabetical order ... but be warned .. computers will order like this:
1
11
12
......
19
2
20
21
Rule of thumb ... always use leading zeros :)
It will go directory by directory (alphabetically), so you can play by artist or whatever. I just stick em all in the root myself.

RE: Wharfedale 750S plays mp3?
Yes the 750s plays mp3`s really well however for some reason I cant get the audio to use the digital out, in either BITSTREAM or PCM, very strange as DVD`s, audio CD`s and VCD`s all work fine. Just get the audio through the normal SCART connection to the TV.
Any one else seen this problem?
I`m having the same problem with the 750S I have just bought - it will play MP3`s but only through the TV. Do I need a non-digital output to my amp as well?
RE: Wharfedale 750S plays mp3?
Another question on same lines - have 750S which i`ve written MP3`s on to an ISO 9660 disc which registers fine in system and allows to skip through tracks. Audio out is to speakers, not thru tv (but can do also - as not using dreaded SCART) but unfortunately sound keeps breaking up.
Is this because I VBR`d the MP3`s or something else I missed?
Cheers
Brad

Makes no difference whether MP3`s are CBR`d, VBR`d, Normalized or not and no difference if player is set to PCM or BITSTREAM either. Any ideas?
