i went into my local richer sound today only to find it was gonna cost me £120 to buy component vidoe cables, is this a fair price? can you get them cheaper online?

I suggest you try:

http://www.lektropacks.co.uk

Bear in mind you don`t need anything "special" for a component video connection - three ordinary phono leads is all you need. If you just wanted to try out the connection (and weren`t bothered about quality), you could probably get something suitable from Poundland for £1.

I would NOT recommend Beyondhifi - check my review in retailer reviews forum. I got appalling treatment from them. Although not as bad as the chap who ordered a cyberhome player from dvdplayers.co.uk. Go look - shocking, i think you`ll agree.
