Page 1 of Mico £89-99 Has everything.
Hardware Forum
I have just bought the Mico Clasica 20 from Sainsburys. After initial tests it is by far the best player I have used. I have had the Toshiba 210, Pioneer 444, Schneider 500, Akura ADV 12s. It has played ALL VCDs, SVCSs, with absolutly no lip sync problem. It is the best picture by far of all the players I have used & seen in shops. It has component video, ideal for my Toshiba 36" TV. It also has RGB (Scart). It has Macro disable, & Region free. The MP3 folders are the easiest I have come across. It plays CD-RW discs. Personaly I think it looks a little ugly but with the cool blue light under the tray it makes up for it`s looks in the dark....Oh it also plays DVDs again great picture quality.
Sounds good. Does it play CDR as well as CDR/W ?
It plays CDR & I tried a photo video I burnt on Nero & that worked as well.
Problem is there are not a lot left, & they are only in the big Sainsburys.
Thanks: I shall go hunting.
RE: Mico £89-99 Has everything.
Whats The Hack For This Machine, As I Have Just Bought One And Mine Is Not Multi Region or Macro Disabled.
Cheers, Clive.
Make sure there is no disc in the tray. On the remote control, put in, 2..9..1..8..Enter. The hidden menu will appear & page one has the regions, Page two has the Macro.
I was interested in an old SVCD disc that has never played in any player (including the last Wharfdale, that I forgot to mention before) with correct lip sinc. The Mico played it perfectly. Prior to this I could only play all these discs in my computer. I would be interested if other Mico models are the same including the Cyberhome that I believe is supposed to be a MICO. Also what other makes are really Mico`s.
Does this player do Region 1 (NTSC) discs to PAL50, for `back ups` to VHS ?
Sorry I can`t try that as I don`t Have any Region 1 discs.
In that case - does it show `quasi-pal` on any menu,or any reference in the manual please as the NTSC to PAL 50 is essential for my use.
Thanks.
I wish I could help further but, the manual says on Signal output...PAL/NTSC.....The signal out says the same. There is a hidden menu that alters the region & turns off Macro, there are other items in it but I don`t think they are what you want. I`m afraid to touch the items as I don`t know about them. Wish I had an NTSC Disc to try.
