Page 1 of Best DVD player <£100
Hardware Forum
Im looking to buy a cheap region free player for less than £100 or as cheap as possible. Something simple, so that family can either easily change the region from the handset quickly without hassle, or without that necessity if possible.
thx
There`s nothing to touch the Mico from bigger Sainsburys, seems they are a little short of them though. I would wait, you won`t regret it. It was £89.00.
RE: Best DVD player <£100
Does you TV have a scart socket? If not (like me) you`ll need a macrovision free DVD player. The one I`d recommend is the Decca DDV 2110 from power house (www.powerhouse.co.uk). It is silver, multi-region, Macro-free, plays VCD, SVCD, MP3. If you are keen on buying cheaper US DVD`s you`ll be happy using the NTSC-to-PAL converter.
This DVD player is internally identical to the highly popular Dansai 852 and uses the same remote hacks.
was thinking about the Logix DVD-3000 Multi-region DVD Player

a bargain or not?
Don`t you read reviews!!!! Look at ` What TV & Video` .The MICO , was a BEST BUY at £100-00. They said they would recommend this player even at a higher price. It is only £89-00 at this moment from bigger Sainsburys. Read the review & you won`t buy anything else.
yeh I wouldnt mind that, unfortunately the nearest sainsbury`s is about 2 hours drive away, I`ve had a look round some sites, can`t seem to pick it off from anywhere.
Shame that! Just be careful of the cheaper makes, use the search engine in these forum`s to see of problems with the various makes. My opinion would be to go for the new Toshiba`s that are coming out about now, if they are as good as the 210 but without the lip sinc problem I would go for them, problem may be price. I know I had to do a round trip of about 70 miles to get the MICO. Worth every mile. I only hope this helps you.
