Nelly have you got the firmware upgrade yet,please let us all know asap

Seems like alot of Scan sc-2000 DVD player owners are waiting for this firmware upgrade.

It`s like dangling a big carrot... isnt it Nelley.

Maybe soon ?

Hmm! interesting does anyone know what features / improvements this upgrade is expected to impliment?.

I thinks it`s supposed to fix the 8 character filenames for mp3 cds, and get rid of the almighty MACROVISION :)

From what I`ve read, it`ll fix Macrovision:-) but the 8 character limit is to come in a later update.

Not sure if there`s anything else included.

Ahh! if I understand you correctly you mean that it will allow Macroviosion to be disabled? and that is a feature the I could use occasionally.

Vic, yes that`s right. Prior to the recent batch it was possible to disable Macrovision on the Scan anyway. The option was taken out due to `pressure` from the nice people at Macrovision:-( It can now be retro-fitted fairly easily however, as the latest versions can be upgraded via CD and Nelley is such a helpful guy:-).

Good! I have just taken delivery of a player from the latest batch (and so far it seems rather nice. So I have Emailed the legendary Nelley and requested the new firmwear when it arrives.

if you could help ?

1) when connected to a pro-logic amp does it playback in pro-logic?

2) how is the replay of normal Audio CD`s?.....cos its gotta replace the one that just went bang :)

and
3) will it work ok if i upgrade to a dts amp?
