Page 1 of Need recommendations on a system

I`ve decided to splash a bit of money on a main system and using my Samsung 511 as a second player, and I have a budget of around £600 (£700 at a push). So, what would you recommend?

Looking for separates (DVD player, amp and surround speakers, 5.1 and DTS compliant, etc). I was considering the Pioneer NS-DV88 but I`m dubious about this because of the less flexibility with an all-in-one and the fact that this particular system doesn`t have a separate amp. I have got a local Pioneer shop nearby though so would be interested to hear if anybody has any particular Pioneer recommendations, but any separates system round about £600-700 will do.
