Need help in buying a good quality Dv camcorder. Budget about £500. Also Camcorders with good reviews will be considered.

With that budget I suggest you look at some of the Samsung`s. Not the best around but good buys. Check out Dixons or Comets web sites.

I`ve got the JVC DVL150 that cost about £400. I see there`s a DVL160 at http://www.empiredirect.co.uk for £420. I don`t know what`s changed.

Mines good enough for basic home video and probably a better picture than most analogue units. Go to http://www.smartdv.co.uk for a DV-in enabler. I haven`t gone for this yet.

I`m using Pinnacle Studio DV for editing. You need lots of disc space.

Thanks for offered information. Iam seriously considering the new Panasonic NVGS series. Reviews for them at Simplydv.com are good.
