I have not had any problems with menus on any of the DVD`s I have played. I did have a problem with audio CD`s which also had PC applications on them. Mico were very helpful and shorted this out with a software upgrade. I suggest that you e-mail them with all the details of your problem. The man to contact is joe at "selas[at]kh.moc.ocim". Keep us updated with progress.

Does the Firmware upgrade alter anything else apart from loss of the Macrovision disable ? that is present on the older machines.
Is a new Firmware version reported ?
Does it perchance restore the Zoom function on SVCD - useful for those who create discs of stills in that format

Hope someone can answer these queries.

I have had no problems with the menus on any discs.
If anyone has this model and can disable macrovision can you tell me if your players serial number begins with 02 or 01?

I belive that the only change from the rev 1.01 software is the removal of the bug which prevented audio CD`s with CD-ROM applications being played. There will only be other changes if they fixed something else while solving the above problem. If I remenber correctly the only inducation that the software had changed was the build date. I can check this on my player if it is improtant to you. I do not have any SVCD`s so I can`t comment on the Zoom function on these. As I said before Mico in Hong Kong are very helpful and I`m sure would help fix your problem if you e mail them.
