Keep missing out on concerts

RJS (undefined) posted this on Monday, 17th October 2005, 14:50

Seems by the time I notice them in a Sunday supliment, they are already sold out. :/

Anyone recommend the best way to get early notification of when tickets go on sale?

Sign up for notifications from ticket agents such as ticketmaster and seetickets. I generally get emails in the week leading up to concert announcements. Also as I live in Manchester, in the MEN newspaper on a Friday they have an entertainment supplement which advertsises gigs about to go on sale the next morning. Tickets for concerts generally go on sale around 9am on a Saturday morning. Maybe you have such a paper in your area..

Well if there are any bands that you are "in to" or particularly want to see, keep checking their websites occasionally - it will have all the details of forthcoming tours/where/when etc. :D

In my experience the ticket sellers will inform you of the gigs before the bands websites are updated

Hi there,so as not to miss out on the gigs you really want to see, register with artist or bands offical web site.they will send you early e-mails,regarding tour dates & up and coming events. In some cases even a pre-booking option for fans before public sales begin. So you never have to miss out again.

Have a look on ebay. It seems to be selling tickets for artists that have not"OFFICIALLY" announced dates or venues. just type Robbie Williams tickets.

I find that liking bands/music that few others like helps - I can usually roll up on the night and of the gig and pay on the door :-))

Rob - how about going to see Robert Plant at the Forum on 6th Dec - I think there are tickets left. That should be a good `un - there may even be a couple of well crafted epic tracks played too!

Sign up to bands websites ?
Hit and miss doing that.
As an example Tori Amos website will give you extensive info on US TV programmes she is appearing on but will announce UK gigs well after the ticket agencies even thougn she is married to an englishman and lives part of the time in cornwall !!
