ive got one of these

if i were you, i wouldnt bother with the software that comes with it, or fancy importing methodss in wmp (`import library` etc)

cnnmemory unit is just a usb memory stick with a player attatched therefore in windows, just drag and drop your mp3/wav/wmas onto your stick. simple as.

OK, first things first: what have you got? is it a little `pen-drive` type player ie like this:

what computer are you using?

what are you trying to put on the player?

where are the files you are trying to put on the player?

reason i ask, if it is just a little pendrive type thing, you are fine, just put the mp3s on however if its a bigger `storage medium` type player like an ipod or a sony minidisc player that requires its own software to load its own file formats onto the unit, then its more difficult...

if its like the one in the picture, what youre doing is redundant. All it is is a little storage device (like a CDRW, floppy disk or external harddrive) that handily has a headphone socket/ music player attatched.

If you plug it into your computer, wait a few seconds then go to `start` )bottom left hand corner) --> `my computer`

this will show you all the drives on your computer, usually like this:

a drive (usually a floppy disk drive if you have one)
c drive (host hard drive)
d drive
e drive
f drive
g drive
h drive

etc, with the blank ones being your other hard drives, cd drive, zip drives etc (if you have any of these)

now comes the clever part: your mp3 player should be one of these (probably called cnmedmory corp portable storage device or something)
click into it, then minimise that window. Now do it again, and open up another `my computer` window from the start menu. Now locate your MP3s (i hope you know where they are) then right-click on them (with yer mouse) and select `copy`
now back to the original window in your mp3 players memory, then right click on the blank space in there and select `paste`

sorry if this sounds patronising, just trying to be definitive ;) basically as i suggested before its simp-ly a case of `cut and paste` the files in windows, no silly windows media player `synchronising` needed...

let me know how you got on ;)

PS how are you getting your MP3s? do you need to know how to create MP3s from your CDs/vinyl/tapes? thats a seperate tutorial ;)

what are these drives? list them.

Hint:
in all likelihood, they shall be thus:

a: floppy drive
c: host hard drive
d: CD drive
e: mp3 player (note it might not be called this, just something like `removeable storage` or something
