Ripping Dvd Audio ....to MP3 format
I have got a few Dvd Audio Cds that I want to rip to MP3 format. Does anyone know if there is a program that does this (and where do I find it?)
Thanks
Gaz
RE: Ripping Dvd Audio ....to MP3 format
I`ve had fun and games doing this in the past, in short it can be a pain in the arse and is easier to see if some-one on internet has done it for you ;)
what exactly do you mean? My reasons were for ripping music DVDs of concerts etc, so I could listen to them. I just realised you mean mean actual audio dvd rather than a DVD`s audio, which is what I have done.
Are you using MS windows? It may be easiest/best to rip to divx, and then extract audio, something like handbrake may do it?
thread at cableforum I bookmarked may help

there`s probably a thread here at dvdreviewer on it as well!

If by "Dvd Audio Cds " you mean DVD-Audio discs (as in high resolution DVD-Audio which require a special player), then the only way I know to get around the encryption is by using DVDAExplorer.

Rip the music to 2 or 6 channel WAV files and then use a conversion program to convert to MP3. If you are handy with command line encoding you can even do this directly using DVDAExplorer, otherwise just use foobar2000 or whatever you like.
Or keep them as WAV files to retain the high-resolution audio.
