I can report a good gig. Did the ones I know. I think Down in the park is still my favorite. He did end with a version of Are friends electric that was really good.

The only downside was the sound. It was my first time at the O2 Leicester. So I don`t know if it was the venue, his set up or the fact that Orbital have really upped the game in terms of what can be produced in a smaller venue.

I`m quite tempted to go to one day of Hop Farm this year (Bob Dylan), and he happens to be on there with Maximo Park (again, they seem joined at the hip, or maybe its just coincidence).

I met Gary NUMAN many times when i was about 8 or 9, we were living in Chobham in Surrey, we use to see him almost weekly filling up his Ferrari at the local petrol station when we were walking home from school, he always use to speak to us or wave, we didnt really know who he was but he drove a red sports car, and in our mind as boys that made him a super hero!

Another really genuine lovely bloke was Brian BLESSED he lived in Windlesham, he came to our school when Flash Gordon was launched brought us all loads of goodies,  i use to see him with his children nearly every friday in the post office on the way home, when we all bought our 10p worth of sweets for the weekend...

those were the days when celebrities were real celebrities, people who had some talent...

not just some half wit fake orange tanned slapper from essex who can get her silicone enhanced baps out on `I`m a nobody big brother jungle wannabe, i ve got no talent can`t sing idol or dance, or even speak proper init`...
