I switched on my PC today and all my files and folders have Blue Writing underneath them instead of the usual black.
How did this happen?
Cheers!
Ouch,
the same happened to some of my files, i dont know what it means though, maybe someone else will!

There`s a small freeware program I have on my laptop that lets you make the background to the icon labels on the desktops go clear, and also you can change their colour to fit in with the colourscheme of the wallpaper, but i don`t know if it or a program like it can change file and folder labels.
What OS are you on?
Can you provide a list of programs loading at start-up? (download this: http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/ )
What happens if you do "scanreg/restore" back to yesterday?
(Go to the MS-Dos prompt, type scanreg/restore then hit enter, pick the last date everything was ok then say "OK" when it wants you to reboot)
Sounds to me like you have set the files to be compressed to save file space...
If you right click them and check properties, then advanced it would be there... Although with no further information this is just a guess !

I started getting a few files that i downloaded at first, then all of them changed to blue writing, but i have just checked and my Harddrive has been compressed.
I never compressed the Drive myself, so i dont know how it changed, i will untick it and see if it resolves this.
I have just installed TweakXP Pro, maybe this program did it.
Thanks for your answers.
